DCTA - Track & Trace

We’ve produced much animation in our time and are real believers in its power to simplify the complex, soften difficult messages and reach across cultural borders.

This film uses a variety of animation styles and techniques to explain and promote a technological solution to counterfeiting and smuggling called ‘Track & Trace’.

It was designed as a communications tool to aid and enable conversations with finance ministers, law enforcement, trade and customs officials, as well as senior leaders of a wide range of industries suffering the effects of illicit trade.

Its stylistic approach and tone pays consideration to the weight and scale of the problem, as well as the sophistication and gravitas of the organisation behind the solution: The DCTA.

Taking in the global and cross sector nature of the problem, it illustrates and explains the functionality of ‘Track & Trace‘, as well as its ease of adoption through interoperability and a low barrier to entry, using a mix of 2D and 3D animation.
